Kenosha Acupuncture for Quitting Smoking
Acupuncturists commonly use a collection of points known as “NADA” which stands for the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association. For a more detailed description, click here: https://www.acupuncturetoday.com/abc/nadaprotocol.php.
NADA treatments are recommended for anyone who is struggling with an addiction of any kind, though it is best known for helping people quit smoking. I have had many people who have had this treatment tell me that the acupuncture takes away the craving, however, the behavior aspect may take a little longer to change. I always use supporting acupuncture points to increase will power and decrease stress, and I also recommend Black Pepper Essential Oil from doTERRA. (https://www.doterra.com/US/en/p/black-pepper-oil) This oil also stops nicotine cravings.
A great book to supplement your treatment is called, “The Easy Way to Stop Smoking,” by Allen Carr. This book clears the psychological reasons for smoking. Paired with the acupuncture, this method works wonders. Some people quit after one acupuncture session. Some people require 10. It all depends on how dedicated you are to quitting. I always ask people, “on a scale of 1-10, what is your desire to stop smoking?” All the 10’s quit.
I know quitting is hard. I did it in 2005. I will never go back, and I can help you make a similar statement! Now, all you must ask yourself is, what will I do with all my extra money and energy? What will I eat now that I can taste my food? How will I reward myself for doing this work? How much better will I feel knowing that I am reducing my chances of heart attack, stroke, and cancer? How much better will I smell and be able to smell? How will it feel to be in control of my life? How much better will I feel knowing I am reversing premature aging? How much better will I look?
